Portraits, Landscapes, Mixed Media, Airbrush, Acrylic, Guache

Getting on with

life & making art
(like this mixed media portrait),
since the End-Of-The-Line-For-My-Van-In-Madison, episode, complete with Ramble to friend.
First, though: here's the art I've been doing, since my return, in the last few years,  (amazingly; yes it's been that long) while living in Port Hadlock. I'll post a few results of some of the plein-air painting moments (paintings), and then a sequential visual log of the development of an airbrushed portrait that was mixed media that I was commissioned to do.
    There was the scene of Mt Ranier from the Illahee dock. I have this original, still, and

would entertain offers. And this image is the painting of the Agnew Grocery and Feed store;

Others will follow. Those, and the portraits Will be posted soon!

Here, below this paragraph, I drew on a print of the simple multi media piece (air brush with brush line) before it reached the final stage.  The Print had been done on a watercolor- print paper, so it was essentially a finished piece of art, in itself. The client picked this piece, before I ever got to the finished stage of the two media piece. Later I finished it, and it was the first one presented in this series.

I would not have, gone on and on via phone mssge.  But I didn't reali5e(That computer key flubbing again)  that I'd keep going on....

Before going there; I'm going to share the last plein-air art experience that I had while traveling in the Midwest. Here are two photo's I took while producing the painting that night.  I will try to also recover the sequential, or in-progress pics I took on my camera phone, and post them as soon as I can recover them.  I had to let that camera go, when it had serious issues.  As I had to let go of so many other things in 2016. Last year was definitely a year of losses, it sure seems, in my experiences. Does anyone else feel the same?  Let me know.

None of the following edited, or corrected for accuracy, or effect.Been in Madison. Looks like the end of the line for my van. Transmission f----d, totally. With its other mechanical issues -I believe it has a worn cam and will always run sporadically until it is replaced -its probably not going to benefit me to try and replace the trans. If I was home with a place to put it -maybe I would. Well I had pretty good run with her -over 3 1/2years. Some adventures and good times. I wish I had made it back there to pick you up and hit Chicago -or go camping -or both -but it didn't go like that; sorry!.... Luckily here in Madison I met a fellow who is real cool and been helping me thru this. He towed me w his van out of an uptight spot to a place that's more relaxed. Going to have to get a big duffel bag -get everything I don't think I can part with into it; get her emptied out- drop everything else I can at goodwill, sell her off the street to wrecking yard that want to come get her and give me something; then bus it back to peninsula -hopefully with my bike -or else I gotta try to get something for that also..... @That's a long shot. A long ways til holidays. I'm going to have to make a move. I cant sit here til my travel funds are spent on daily living. No place to stay; meanwhile -so all my money would be gone -even if I had enough to get some place to shack. I'd like to think I could make enough money to get by until whenever, but its tough ti do that anywhere -selling my art on the street, and getting what I need to keep going, especially without transpo. I tried the alternate trying to score on side work gigs -but that never really panned out in other places if it even worked at all. Thanks for thinking of me and throwing that idea out there though -but I think I may have to go the safe route, instead of the usual gamble option on this one... Or I could just end up on the street. Shelters sometimes have waiting lists and a body has to be on by nine. So then I couldn't be out sketching for change. I think And glad I got to see van and I still owe ya for that last one; and thanks! Hey Alias -I found the keys -they were on the ring -but I thot they were the ones for the trailer I just bot.Turns out those were another pair that were also on the rings -but were smaller an less notice-able ;I had someone waiting ;so I guess I was hurrying. Ill send em in next few days. And can I get .... ....'s ph# or email? Ph# might work best. An stop making lyk I did that much for ya -c'mon -yur a frend an I still owe ya. I'll get ya back. An you folks have some cards cards coming: soon as I get squared away w printer Tom for recent product. I've got more dealings w him since I probly going to be setting up the trailer out at his place as of this week an he'll be doing cash or trade for wrk @ the place Ill probly be able to get printing discounted as long as I keep up with his requests -Talk soon
